Are you looking for a nice warm pair of  slippers? All of our slippers have 100% shearling uppers and soles/insoles. Our sheepskin slippers are not made from another material simply lined or trimmed in shearling. The only other material involved (aside from the thread) is our crepe outsole which is standard on the scuffs, optional on the other items. Even the bottoms are sheepskin, not polyester or, as several of our insole customers have stated, "fluff on cardboard". As a matter of fact, except for the women's scuffs, the sheepskin we use in the bottoms is purchased specifically for that use as opposed to the big guys who, if they give you the real thing in the bottom, use off cuts that we normally throw away.
The insoles on the women's scuffs are cut from the same garment shearlings as the scuffs so they will match the wool trim. In all other cases (The Foot Muff uses long wool shearling but that is a completely different story) we use heavy vegetable tanned sheepskin (a change from previous years) with a minimum of ¾ inch wool depth. Now, get this, we will be happy to resole our soft soled shearling slippers for $16 per pair, postpaid. (Resoling FAQ'S) Have you found anyone else who is willing to do that?

Yes, we are more than willing to make one slipper for those who need such. Cost is 1/2 of the full pair price plus shipping/handling. We make them right here in Vermont. A single slipper or two of the same foot, no big deal. We won't break up an already made pair but we will make them just for you, no added cost.

If you are just looking for stand alone insoles we will be happy to supply those as well. They are on our Miscellaneous Items page and they are much better than "fluff on cardboard".

Our 5/16th inch thick crepe (a blend of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate "EVA" and Synthetic Butadiene Rubber) outsoles, standard on some items optional on others, are first cemented and then sewn to the slipper. They will not only out last most any leather sole on the market but will normally out last the upper. This is a flat sole, no thick, clunky, boot type sole. Our very first pattern for sheepskin slippers from our beginnings 30 years ago. The simple boot liner design allows an individual to wear the sides folded down or to flip them up to cover the ankles (cuff pictured turned down). Note that because of the open front, this style of slipper fits a little more loosely than our other styles.

A very popular  slipper style. This style has a short trim piece around the top of the slipper instead of the fold up sides of the full cuff slippers (above). Because of the solid trim piece these tend to fit more snug on the foot than the full cuff style.

A simple, unpretentious, shearling scuff. The women's style (on the right) has a wool trimmed front with a matching shearling insole. The men's has a clean finished front with our standard ¾" thick sheepskin insole.

This miniature version of our adult short cuff slippers has a short trim piece around the top of the upper which provides for a snug fit.

• Height, floor to top of cuff approximately 3 ½  inches.

• Both come standard with heavy vegetable tanned shearling soles (can be resoled). Only sizes medium through extra large may be ordered with optional flat crepe outsoles. The out-soling material is too stiff and ridged for the smaller sizes.

• Available sizes are as follows: XS (7-9), S (9-11), M (11-13), L (1-2), XL (3-4). All sizes are approximates so a foot tracing is always helpful.

• It is also wise to order at the lower end of the fit range. IE: If your child is currently in a size 12 it would be advisable to order a large, not a medium.

FOOT MUFF 

Okay, no more trying to describe this item in creative terms. It is time to be blunt.
This is one big item. That is why it is called a foot muff. It is not a "pair", it is not a "slipper", and, no, we can't make slippers like this because it would be like walking around in shoe boxes. (Well, we could, but you wouldn't want them and we would just get them back.)
It is, however, the ultimate in comfort for cold and tired feet. This item has been designed for people who really like to just sit back and watch TV or read a book in the evening.  It holds both feet side by side and it is like wrapping your feet up in a nice luxurious sheepskin rug.  If you desire, you can even flip the back up to completely cover your ankles as well. No, you can't walk around in it but once you slip it on we don't think you'll want to move anyway.

• One size fits almost anyone up to men's 12 ½ or so.

• Front and top from shearling suede. The back, rear sides, and bottom are made from New Zealand long wool shearlings.

• No need to resole it 'cause you can't walk in it. :)

• You don't really want a flat crepe outsole. Maybe we could do it, no one has ever asked. Lot of bulk to get under the sewing machine though.

This item was  designed after repeated requests from our customers for something even taller. This  shearling slipper is for women who really want their ankles snug and warm. Because of the extended height and the closed opening it can be a bit difficult to slip on so it is not for people who have a high instep or generally have problems getting into boots.

• Height from the floor to the top of the slipper is  approximately 7 inches  with the cuff turned down (as shown).

• New customers please order by normal shoe size. These are only available to fit Women's sizes 6 thru 10 ½ in a standard width. We cannot realistically do alterations to this style so there are no special cuts available. Well, we could, but it would be costly.
